Peters Memorial Woods

Description

Peters Memorial Woods is a 60-acre preserve in Clinton, Connecticut, managed by the Clinton Land Conservation Trust. The area features a network of six trails totaling approximately 2.6 miles, offering a range of hiking experiences from easy walks to more challenging treks. The trails wind through diverse landscapes, including moss-covered rock ledges, ferns, vernal pools, glacial rock deposits, streams, and historic stone walls. The preserve includes an ever-evolving Story Walk, an engaging literacy initiative that exhibits pages from children's books along a path, enhancing the hiking experience for families.

Easy

The trails are overall on the easier side with little to no rocks or roots in the way. There are some gentle elevation changes throughout the trails, but nothing that reaches the moderate difficulty level.
