Contributors

This project wouldn’t be possible without the help of our incredible volunteers.

From local land trust teams to our own trail contributors, we’re grateful for everyone who donates their time, energy, and passion. Your generosity is what keeps Shoreline Hikes moving forward.

Our Story

Shoreline Hikes started as a personal hobby and quickly grew into something bigger. What began with posting trail reviews and photos turned into a full project dedicated to exploring and sharing the best hiking spots along the Connecticut shoreline. As a local high school student in Madison, I wanted to create something that helps people connect with nature, discover new trails, and support the land trusts that keep these places open and clean.

This site brings together firsthand trail reviews, local history, and real info to make it easier for anyone to get outside—whether it’s your first walk in the woods or your hundredth. It’s built by hikers, for hikers. And it’s just getting started.

How You Can Contribute

By becoming a Shoreline Hikes Trail Guide, you help keep our trail info accurate, fresh, and community-driven. Whether you’re sharing a quick trail review, snapping photos, or helping with cleanups, your contribution helps more people get outside and enjoy the shoreline. It’s an easy way to give back, explore more, and be part of something local and meaningful.
