The Story

Where It Started

I’ve always enjoyed being outside, but once I began exploring the trails along the Connecticut shoreline, I realized how many hidden gems were right in my own backyard. What started as weekend hikes with my dogs and family slowly became a passion. I began reviewing trails, sharing photos, and trying to help others find the same peaceful places I had discovered.

Why I Built This

I created Shoreline Hikes to make it easier for people to explore the outdoors around them. Most hiking websites don’t focus on shoreline towns, and when they do, the information is often limited. I wanted to offer something more detailed and personal. This site is built around clear trail reviews, custom maps, difficulty ratings, and helpful info. It’s also a way for me to support local trail groups, organize cleanups, and contribute to keeping these places in great shape.

What’s Next

Shoreline Hikes is still growing. I’m continuing to add new trails, expand to nearby towns, and build a community of local hikers and mountain bikers. With projects like the Trail Club and new partnerships, the goal is to keep improving the site and supporting the land we all explore. Whether you're looking for your next hike or hoping to get involved, there’s more to come.
