Double Loop Trail
Description
This trail offers an easy walk through second-growth forests that have reclaimed former farmland. Numerous stone walls along the path reveal an extensive former field system, highlighting the area's agricultural history. The trail follows old logging roads in many sections and features a variety of tree species, including oaks, hickories, tulip-poplars, yellow birch, black birch, American beech, and red maples. Understory plants such as spicebush, blue beech, and ironwood are also present. Some areas may be wet after heavy rains but are easily skirted. The trail connects with the Lost Pond Trail, offering opportunities for extended hikes.

Difficulty

Easy
The trail is mostly flat with gentle inclines and declines. Certain sections may be boggy, especially after heavy rains, but these areas are easily skirted. The path is well-defined, following old logging roads and crossing several stone walls
