Description

Millers Pond State Park is a 280-acre scenic reserve located in Durham and Haddam, Connecticut. Established in 1955, the park's central feature is the 33-acre Millers Pond, fed by large springs that create a body of unpolluted water, making it excellent for smallmouth bass and trout fishing . Millers Pond has a range of trail types for different skill levels. The White Trail around the pond is mostly flat and easy to follow. Trails like the Red Loop and the Mattabesett section are more rugged, with rocky hills, exposed ledges, and uneven footing. Some parts are also used by mountain bikers, so the terrain can be narrow or fast-moving. Hikers should be ready for changes in elevation and natural obstacles along the way.
