Kenilworth Forest

Description

Kenilworth Forest is an 85-acre preserve in Clinton, Connecticut, managed by the Clinton Land Conservation Trust. The forest features a network of trails totaling approximately 4 miles, including blue, red, and yellow blazed paths. These trails traverse diverse terrains such as old roads, footbridges, ledge outcroppings, and woodlands, offering a moderate hiking experience. Notably, the yellow trail leads to "Poppa Oak," a white oak tree estimated to be over 200 years old, growing out of an old stone wall. The red trail passes a historic stone fire pit, likely used by a collier over 150 years ago for charcoal production.
