Description
The Jarvis Creek Farm Trail offers a peaceful and scenic walk through a unique mix of habitats, including salt marshes, open fields, and coastal woodlands. The trail begins near Route 146 and leads hikers through restored farmland and tidal wetlands, with views of Jarvis Creek and the surrounding marshes. Along the way, visitors can observe a variety of plant species, including both native wildflowers and invasive plants, as well as a range of birdlife such as ospreys and marsh hawks. The trail also features remnants of 19th-century quarrying operations and a boardwalk that crosses the creek, connecting to additional preserved areas managed by the Branford Land Trust.

Difficulty

The trail is flat and pretty wide throughout, with minimal obstacles. It's easy to enter and provides hikers with an easy access point to the Branford Trail.
