Indian Rock Shelters
Description
This peaceful forest loop winds through mixed hardwoods, gentle hills, and historic stone walls. One of the highlights is a set of natural rock shelters, commonly referred to as “Indian Rock Shelters,” located in the northwest portion of the trail. While small, these overhangs are believed to have been used by Indigenous people as temporary shelters. Other features include quiet stream crossings, scenic mossy rocks, and wildlife activity.
