Jesse Buell Forest
Description
Jesse Buell Forest is a 115-acre preserve managed by the Clinton Land Conservation Trust. Located off Cream Pot Road, the forest features a network of seven trails totaling approximately 4 miles, offering a mix of easy to moderate hikes with some short, steep sections. The trails wind through diverse habitats, including ridges, ledge outcroppings, wetlands, and a segment along Bass Brook. Visitors can enjoy a variety of flora such as oak, maple, tulip poplar, and mountain laurel, as well as fauna like barred owls, red-tailed hawks, rabbits, and deer. A portion of the trails passes through wetlands and past a vernal pool, providing opportunities to observe amphibians in the spring.

Easy

Moderate
The trail features a mix of easy flat parts, and more difficulty rocky areas. Lots of the trails go over large rocks, which can be slippery to go up or down when wet. There are some wide open areas where flat clear paths run through tall grass.
